Students
in fifth and sixth grade have the opportunity
to participate in Band classes. Near the beginning
of the school year, our band teacher tests each
student for possible aptitude on various instruments
in order to make recommendations. If a student
already plays a particular instrument, they are
encouraged to continue learning that instrument.
Students then attend classes for their particular
instrument twice a week.
There
are two bands: the beginning band and the advanced
band. The bands play for a Christmas concert and
other occasions. They also go to our neighboring
elementarys school for presentations. |
