A Note from Mrs. Bubrig

*Nov. 12th-House of Blues Field Trip. Permission slips due by Monday, Nov. 9th.

Parents who signed up to chaperone should be at school by 8:30. We are scheduled to leave at 8:45. Please wait in the office until we depart, and we will meet you at the entrance of the HoB. You will need to pay and sign a release when you get there. The parent fee is $5

*Ms. Melan needs a class sitter on Thursday, Nov. 19th at 1:20 until dismissal. Please email or send a note if interested.

What's Happening This Week?

November 9-13

Spelling-Unit 16. Homework due on Wednesday. Test on Friday.

Language-We will begin the unit on verbs. There will be a test on the material covered on Friday.

Reading- We will continue with the personal narrative this week. Students will receive a grade based on incorporating the skills taught into their rough drafts. The entire writing workshop will be done in class.

Math: Skills for this week include changing decimals to fractions, ordering decimals, writing and reading decimals. Students will work on a study guide Wed. and there will be a test on Friday.

Science: We begin a new chapter on kinetic, potential, and thermal energy. Students will complete a lab and a study guide this week. The test for this lesson will be next week.

Social Studies - Mrs. Bubrig - We continue chapter 7 this week with a test on Friday. Current Events presenters for Friday are Caitlin, Mason, Alexis, and Cole.

Students should be working on the rough draft for their social studies fair project. This will be due on November 18.

Social Studies for Melan’s Class: Daily SS days 66-70 is due Wednesday. Students should be working on their SS project rough drafts. It is due November 18th.
