Our trip to Big Branch was rescheduled for Dec 2nd. Sorry for any inconvenience. Please let us know if your availability to chaperone has changed due to our change of date:


SS Fair rough drafts are due THIS week from this Wed: See packet for format. It MUST be done in the correct format. You MUST have the title page, table of contents, abstract, body, conclusion, and bibliography.


NO school next week. I hope everyone has a fabulous Thanksgiving next week. We'll see you back on November 30th.


Builder's Club is collecting items for Mrs. Soine's son, Andrew, stationed in Iraq. He will share items with other soldiers in his unit. You'll find a list below with items they have specified:

Tabasco or Crystal hot sauce; Zapps ;Community Coffee - medium roast; Individual pkts of Kleenex; Snacks; Tony's; Wipes of some sort ( I think they are having H1n1 issues over there also. Probably not gel bottles, just hand wipes.); Magazines; Dried Fruit; Fruit cups; Peanut butter crackers; Altoids; Cookies; Chapstick; Packaged nuts; Granola bars; Beef jerky; Candy for the children (that won't melt during mailing)

November 16-20

Spelling (Bergeron)- Unit 17-Test on Thurs. All bookwork is due on Fri


English (Bergeron)- Ms. B will be checking the rough copies of The Bing, Bang, Bongo Essays this week and students will complete the final copies by the end of next week. We will also be learning about Action verbs as well as main verbs and helping verbs this week. Pages, 142-145. Quiz on Fri this week.


Reading (Bergeron)- We are beginning learning the components of myths this week. We will be reading The Odyssey, by Homer. The students will be tested on notes taken in chart form as we read. Test on Fri.


Math (Cruthirds)- We will be ending our Bits & Pieces Unit and moving into measurement. Bits & Pieces I (B & P) Performance Task will be Mon & Tues of this week. After measurement, in Jan, we will come back to Bits & Pieces II.


Science (Cruthirds)- We will complete Unit E, Ch 3, Less 1: Energy. Test will be Tuesday. We will move into Magnets & Electricity (E, Ch 3, Less 2).


Social Studies (Cruthirds)- Ch 8: N. America test will be Friday. We will also be grading each WB pgs 53-55 (completed in-class on Mon, Tues, & Wed) on Thursday. You may want to ask your child to show you these. Students #21-26 will have Current Events due this Friday. SS Fair rough drafts, including ALL PARTS, is due this Wednesday.


Social Studies (Bergeron)-. We are jumping in the textbook to Ch 12, les 2 and Ch 20, les 2 this week to complete the entire unit on China. Test will be on Thurs this week. SS Fair rough drafts, including ALL PARTS, are due this Wednesday. It does not have to be typed, but would be easy to check and edit if the first copy was typed. (This is just a suggestion)
