Dear Parents,
Well, we are in 4th quarter: Remember to check calendar of events for all upcoming dates. There will be a letter going home in this week's VIP about conduct during 4th quarter. Please be looking for this.

Report cards do not have to be returned signed-only Interims. These will go home Thursday.


We are urging you all to fill out your census information as soon as you receive it. This affects our area's federal funding for education!!!


Step 2 for Science project (Simple Machines) is due this Tuesday.


Reading Book Reports for the 4th Grading Period will not be due until April 20th. This is mandatory for a Reading Grade. Students, make sure that you choose one that you have not presented yet!

March 15-19

Spelling (Bergeron)- No Spelling this Week! We will be working on testing strategies during the Language Arts classes.

English (Bergeron)-This week we are continuing pronouns (pages 232-235 Quiz on Tues) Review the rules on page 234 for possessives! We will continue the pronoun unit with p. 236- 239. (Who, Whom, Whose, and Indefinite Pronouns.) No test until next week. We will also be working in the ILeap workbook for Language Arts for practicing testing strategies in Lang.

Reading (Bergeron)- This week we will be working on the Ileap workbook throughout the Language Arts block. We will be working on writing prompts, writing checklists, and reading strategies from the Ileap workbook.

Math (Cruthirds)- We will cover rates, proportions, and probability. This is in RED text: 8.3, 8.4, 13.1. Test Friday will also have addition & subtraction of integers from last week (Red text: 11.2 & 11.3).

Science (Cruthirds)- Simple Machine project Step 2 is due this Tuesday, March 9. We will begin Unit F, Ch1, Less 2. We will complete Less 2 this week, lesson 3 the beginning of next week, and test on both next Thursday.

Social Studies (Cruthirds)- We will Test on CH 13: African Empires on Wed. Students #1-5 will present Current Events this Friday (3/19). Current Event dates: 6-10 on 3/25, 11-15 on 4/23, 16-20 on 4/30, 21-26 on 5/13.

Social Studies (Bergeron)- We will complete Chapter 10, Ancient Rome this week. We will have a test on Friday on the entire chapter. Students should be studying the entire chapter notes each night. There are too many notes to study in just one night!
