No School Next Week - Happy Thanksgiving!

EPALS UPDATE: We will begin emailing a classroom in Germany this week. I am very excited and think this is a great learning experience for the students. They will begin by sending their essays about Mandeville and Thanksgiving.

Barnes and Noble: I will be reading at Barnes and Noble on Wednesday at 5:30 - hope to see you there! It should be fun.

Math - the students will continue the unit on geometry. There will be a test on Tuesday on classifying polygons.

Spelling - the students will begin unit 15 this week. There will be a test on Thursday.

Language - the students continue with Caught Ya. They will also study linking verbs. They will also rewrite their Mandeville essays and write an essay about Thanksgiving.

Reading - the students will read My Great-Grandmothers Gourd this week. A study guide will come home on Thursday and there will be a test on Friday. Please encourage your child to read every night for twenty minutes.

Science - the students will continue to study energy this week. They will complete 8 stations and lab sheets this week. They will also learn how to create a bar graph on Create A Graph.Com.

Social Studies - the students will continue the unit on explorers. There will be an assessment on Thursday.
