Math
2 Go: An In-house Mathematics Trail |
| Students
in Mrs. Smith's 6th grade class "scouted out"
the school grounds to come up with a "math
trail" for students to follow in order to learn
how much math is a part of our everyday world. As
students follow the trail, they might have to answer
questions like, "How many students holding
hands do you think it would take to stand around
the outside edge of the concreate circle at the
flagpole?" or "What is the ratio of red
seats to non-red seats in the cafeteria?" Not
only did Mrs. Smith's class follow the trail themselves,
but they acted as guides to students in some of
the fourth grade classes. |

Field
Day According to Dr. Seuss |
 |
Students in 4th and 5th Grades participated
in a Field Day on November 22. Each activity was
based on one of the Dr. Seuss books. Before the
competitions began, teachers read each of the books
to their classes.
