LHMS's Own Presidential Math Awardee

LHMS's own fourth grade teacher, Suzanne Buras, has just been awarded the highest honor that any mathematics teacher can receive, the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching. The award is administered by the National Science Foundation on behalf of the White House and includes an all-expenses paid trip to Washington, D.C., for a week of celebratory events and professional development. Awardees also receive a $10,000 award from the National Science Foundation. We are all excited to share this momentous event with one of our own. Congratulations, Ms. Buras!
