LHMS Teacher of the Year

Congratulations to Kathleen Galeas, Lake Harbor's 2008-2009 Teacher of the Year! Mrs. Galeas teaches the fourth grade. She is always the encourager and always positive. LHMS is so proud to have her represent our school.

OWLETS Awarded Brown Foundation Grant
Congratuations to Mrs. Newman and the OWLETS who have been awarded the Brown Foundation Grant for community involvement.! We are so proud of Mrs. Newman and the OWLETS. Monies will be used to further mentoring opportunities as LHMS students work with the children of Noah's Ark at STARC.

Builder's Club & LHMS Help St. Tammany Animal Shelter


The LHMS Builder's Club has been busy! Among other things, they have sponsored a fund raiser to help the St. Tammany Animal Shelter. Some of the funds will help provide Rover (pictured above with club members) get some much needed surgery.

United Way Success

Congratulations to the LHMS team of students and faculty members for donating over $4,000 to the United Way!! Lake Harbor was recognized at a school board meeting awarded the Superintendent's Award. Go! Lake Harbor!!!

As part of our Veterans Day Program, students and faculty were awed by an artist who worked right before our eyes to create a wonderous patriotic scene as music told the story.

Everyone participated in Red Ribbon Week activities!

The Stars Themselves Were in Attendance!
In the Coffee House students read original poems and writings.
Students artwork and musical talent were everywhere to be seen and heard!
