Dear Parents,
Thank you very much for turning in all
of the paperwork in such a timely manner. Our class is close to
reaching 100% family participation in our PTA organization. Please
consider joining if you have not already done so.
Beginning on the first day of school, and
continuing each day throughout the school year, your child will
be expected to read for 20 minutes each night. Please encourage
your child to read. Thank you. We all want to reach 100% of our
AR reading goal!
I would like to thank Tami O’Connell
(Dylan) for volunteering to take on the roll of Room Mom. Mrs.
Thibodeaux (Jonathan), Mrs. Cross (Jacob), and Mrs. Faulkner (LuLu)
has offered to assist. If anyone else is willing and/or able to
assist them, please let me know. Thank you very much. We appreciate
you!

Activities
Math: We have begun the study of Place Value.
We will be working in our Scott Foresman book.
Spelling: Unit 1, Dictation test on Thursday
and circle test on Friday.
Language: We are studying sentence structure,
subjects and predicates. We are polishing up our skills with writing
3.8 paragraphs.
Reading: Test on Miss Alaineus is Tuesday,
and will begin Davy Crockett Saves the World, on Wednesday. Read
daily for 20 minutes.
Science: We will finish the study of the
Scientific Method. We are in need of any type of bubble gum for
an experiment. We will need 24 pieces of gum. Thanks!
Social Studies: We have begun Unit 1, Early
Life, East and West in our Social Studies text.. Daily Geography
27 is due on Friday.
