Dear
Parents:
In addition to the weekly reading, language arts and
spelling tests, the students will have a math quiz on
the distributive properties of multiplication and a
social studies test on Chapter 5, Lesson 1 - "Hard
Times in Virginia" (pages 156-163) both on Tuesday.
This Friday Lake Harbor will observe "Caps for
Kids".
Schools will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday
for the entire week next week.

Math: You will continue to study multiplication and
division strategies such as using estimation and the
distributive property. You will have a quiz on the distributive
property of multiplication on Tuesday.
Spelling: You will have a dictation test on Thursday
and a circle test on Friday.

156-163) about the Roanoke and Jamestown colonies. We
will continue to study colonists including those at
the first Thanksgiving.
Homework:
Monday: Spelling: Write spelling words in ABC order.
Reading: Read for 20 minutes and fill out your reading
log. Math: Study for tomorrow's quiz. Social Studies:
Study for tomorrow's test on Chapter 5, Lesson 1 - pages
156-163.
Tuesday: Spelling: Write sentence with each spelling
word. Reading: Read for 20 minutes and fill out your
reading log.
Wednesday: Spelling: Sort spelling words in the order
of your choice. Reading: Read for 20 minutes and fill
out your reading log. Math: Worksheet page 19.
Thursday: Spelling: Study for your test. Reading: Read
for 20 minutes, record and study for test tomorrow on
Bridge to Terabithia - Chapters 1-4.
