Math
– Every Day Counts (EDC) [Counting Tape, Percentage
Circle, Calendar, Arrays, Variable] Days 49-53. We are
continuing to work in the unit: Bits and Pieces I. We
are working out of the pink book and red text this week.
The test will be next week.
Science
– We are
beginning a new lesson on states of matter on Monday.
Test will be this Friday.
Social Studies
– We will
finish our unit on China. Our test on this chapter (4)
is Friday.

Reading
& Language Arts-
Our test on chapters 10-13 is this Thursday, 10/22.
We will finish Number the Stars next week. In Language,
we are working on writing skills.
Spelling-
We are working on Unit 11. Spelling homework for the
week is 3 choices, due on Thursday. Our quiz is on Thursday,
and the test is on Friday. Students who make 100% correct
on the quiz do not have to take the test on Thursday!
Unit 11 Words:
completely, additionally, downward, homeward, especially,
certainly, eastward, carefully, skyward, outward, scarcely,
inward, ideally, upward, possibly, finally, barely,
loosely, afterward, directly. **Challenge words** initially,
usually.
