Happening This Week?
Tentative Schedule
October
20-25th
Spelling-This week we will
begin differentiated spelling. Students will have varying
spelling words and work will be done nightly. Test on Friday.
Language-This week we continue
the unit nouns working with possessive nouns. There will be
a graded in-class activity on Friday
Reading-This week we will
be reading Zoo Story in the text book. There will be a vocabulary
& comprehension quiz on Friday.
Math- We will work on basic
fraction concepts until Wednesday with a test on Thursday.
Reviews will be sent home Monday.
Science-We are continuing
to work on our element comic book heroes this week They will
be presented on Thursday. Friday we will begin talking about
mixtures and solutions. There will be two labs next week!
Social Studies:
Melan-Students
will complete days 41-45 in Daily Social Studies this week.
It is due on Thursday. In class, students will complete their
early civilizations brochures.
Barrow- the students will
work on a map of their river cultures and construct timelines.
The map and timelines are both graded.
