This Week:
Reading: We are reading the story
Mystic Horse. This story is in their reading text. We will test this selection on Friday.
Vocabulary: sores, midst, loosened, responsibility, mysterious, patchwork, and amazement
Spelling: Our words will come from lesson 16. We will have a Practice Test on Thurs. Student who make 100% do not have to take the test on Friday. Their spelling words are in the back of their binders.
Math: We will be studying Ch 6 in our texts. This chapter is taking multiplication and division a step further. We have been working on these skills since the first day of school, so this should come easy to your child. Please practice basic facts. The test on this will be Wed.
Language: We are beginning a Narrative writing unit.
Social Studies: We have started a unit on the NE region. Your child will be bringing home a map of the states in this region. He/she will be responsible for identifying the states and knowing the abbreviations and capt. of each state. We will test this later next week.
Science: We are studying the earth’s atmosphere and weather which should be a review for them. We will test this on Thurs.

News from the Teacher:
Our Luau was a huge success thanks to the wonderful parent volunteers. We certainly appreciate your time and dedication!
Our immigration projects were due last week. The students did a wonderful job on their projects, dolls, and presentations. We hope that you will join us Friday around 12:30 for our International Feast.
