Wow Thanksgiving
week is just around the corner. I hope you all have a
wonderful week off. I plan to!
Interims went home last week and I need them back signed
ASAP! Thanks.
Keep working on Science Fair! As I have said before, follow
the packets they have all the information needed to prepare
for the Science Fair. Thanks for all of your support and
hard work!
Mrs. Petrie's class is running out of Kleenex and pencils.
I would great appreciate any donations that may come my

This week's lessons:
Math: EDC 59-53;
***Continue studying facts: Addition/subtraction/multiplication/division
We will complete our unit with multiplication and division
problems and order of operations Friday.
Quiz Friday We will begin geometry when we return from
Thanksgiving.
Reading: Complete
"Black Cowboy - Wild Horses"; Test Tuesday on
comprehension and vocabulary; Students will be working
a lot with their Reading Notebooks this week (reading
responses, tallies of genres read, and a reading log)
which need to be kept up daily. Test Friday on letter
writing.
Language: Similes, Metaphors, (quiz Wednesday) Onomatopoeia,
Idioms, and Personification. There will be
activities graded in the classroom as well as a quiz Friday.
Spelling: "Review Unit" Students will have a
list of words.
Spelling TEST Thursday, (Multiple Choice and Dictation).
Science: F-1.3 What
Is Work and How It Is Measured? Students will learn how
everyday simple machines work and how they are used. (inclined
plane, wheel and axle, levers, gears, and assembly lines)
