S.T.A.R.S.
is an after school program for fourth graders.
Its purpose is to offer enrichment activities
that will help the children grow in higher order
thinking skills. Students who have scored in the
third quartile on the iLEAP Test from third grade
are invited to participate. S.T.A.R.S. meet once
a week for an hour for six weeks.
Students
are divided up into small groups of approximately
ten students. LHMS teachers provide all instruction.
Each week the student groups rotate together and
have a different teacher each week. |
