Topic: Stingrays


Introduction:

Welcome to this Web Quest site about stingrays. There are many different stingrays
out in the ocean, some of which you will learn about in this Web Quest.


Tasks:

You will have three tasks to complete. They are:

~ Answer 20 questions using the provided websites.

~ Write a Venn diagram.

~ Write full report.


Process:

First you have to answer the following 20 questions in complete sentences
using the resources given.

Next you will make a Venn diagram comparing 2 types of stingrays, also using the resources given.

Finally, you will write a 3-paragraph report.
The 1st paragraph should be an introduction explaining what stingrays are and
where they live. The second paragraph should tell about what the different parts of a stingray. The last paragraph should be a conclusion on the different types of stingrays and how thy are different.



Evaluation/Criteria:

Questions: 2 points for each complete sentence and 3 points
for each correct answer.

Venn diagram:

50 points for 2 parts with differences
25 points for 1 part on how stingrays are the same
25 points for correct spelling and grammar

Report:

15 points for correct spelling
15 points for correct grammar
20 points content of 3 paragraphs
